Why Liquid Culture?

Canopy

Full Canopy Genetics pioneers mycology genetics for bag cultivation, optimizing performance in low oxygen environments. With their expertise, growers can keep bags closed until harvest, reducing contamination risks and maximizing yields.

How to grow MycoBag:

FAQ

MycoBag is a revolutionary, 100% airtight “Plug & Play” mushroom growing system. Unlike traditional methods, it allows you to grow mushrooms at home in a foolproof way, even with no prior experience. The kit comes with a sterilized and fully inoculated substrate; thanks to its smart microporous filter, you simply place the bag in a suitable spot and let the mushrooms grow autonomously, with zero risk of contamination.

Absolutely! MycoBag was specifically designed to transform a failure-prone hobby into a foolproof experience. By eliminating all the complex, technical steps of traditional growing (such as sterilization, inoculation, or humidity control), any beginner can achieve guaranteed, professional-grade harvests on their very first try.

Traditional mushroom growing in plastic tubs requires opening the lid for manual ventilation , which inevitably exposes the inside to environmental bacteria and molds. MycoBag is the ultimate alternative because it completely eliminates this problem with a 100% airtight, sterile design that drastically reduces the risk of contamination and the margin for error. Unlike tubs that need manual fanning , our microporous filter technology passively maintains the ideal oxygen balance and blocks external contaminants. MycoBag transforms a failure-prone hobby into a foolproof, effortless mushroom growing experience.

Our MycoBags are designed to grow a variety of mushrooms, including popular psilocybin-
containing strains such as Whitebilly, Tidal Wave Ape, Cascadian Teacher, and Albino Jedi Mind Fuck (AJMF). If you have any specific requirements or questions.

Store your MycoBag in a cool, dark place before use. If you have any concerns about the storage conditions, please contact us for guidance.

Growing mushrooms at home has never been easier. Just take your MycoBag out of the box, place it in a room with indirect ambient light (never direct sunlight), and maintain a temperature around 23°C (73°F). You don’t need any special equipment, inoculation, or maintenance. Just sit back and watch them grow!

Your mushroom yield will depend on the size of the kit you choose. Our MiniMycoBag (700 ml) is perfect for beginners and yields an average of 150 to 200 grams of fresh mushrooms per flush. If you want to maximize your harvest, the standard MycoBag (2,000 ml) easily surpasses the 400 to 600 grams mark of fresh, dense fruiting bodies. As a general rule in mycology, the dried harvest is equivalent to approximately 10% of the fresh weight.

No, not at all! Unlike plants, mushrooms do not need to photosynthesize. To successfully grow mushrooms with your MycoBag, they just need a spot with normal, indirect ambient light (like a regular room) so the fruiting bodies know which direction to grow. Avoid placing your mushroom kit in direct sunlight, as this can overheat the bag and damage the mycelium.

No, not at all! That is the secret to our success. MycoBag is a sterile, closed ecosystem. You don’t need to water or open the lid for fresh air (as you would with traditional plastic tubs). Our specialized filter takes care of passively maintaining the ideal oxygen balance while blocking external contaminants. You must keep the bag completely sealed until harvest day.

Please don’t! The success of growing mushrooms at home with MycoBag lies in its 100% airtight, “Plug and Play” system. If you open your grow kit before harvest, you will break the medical-grade sterile seal and expose the inoculated substrate to environmental bacteria and molds that cause contamination. Our innovative microporous filter passively maintains the ideal oxygen balance while blocking external contaminants. To ensure a high-quality, fail-proof harvest , simply keep the bag sealed until it is time to harvest.

While our Plug and Play system typically completes its growing cycle in 25 to 35 days, fruiting time can vary depending on your home’s environmental conditions. Don’t just rely on the calendar! The most reliable way to know when to harvest your mushrooms is strictly visual: the perfect time is right when the veil (the thin membrane under the cap) breaks and the mushroom cap begins to flatten. Remember, to guarantee a successful yield and avoid contamination, your bag must remain completely sealed until you see this specific change in the fruiting bodies.

Preparing your mushroom grow kit for a second flush is incredibly easy. Once you have opened the bag and harvested your first yield of fresh mushrooms, the substrate will need to recover its moisture levels. As shown in our complete video guide, you simply need to spray water inside the bag to prepare for the next flush. Once the inside is properly misted, fold the top of the bag back down and seal it completely using tweezers or clips. This simple process recreates the perfect microclimate, allowing the mycelium to fruit again.

Contamination is minimized through our industry-leading, medical-grade sterilization process. We use commercial steam sterilizing electric autoclaves that maintain precise temperatures over a 2.5- hour period, ensuring our bags are completely sterile and resilient to contamination.

We offer a guarantee on all MycoBags purchased through our official shop. If your bag does not produce mushrooms, we will either replace it or issue a full refund.
