Welcome to MycoBag, where our passion for mycology and cutting-edge genetic research drives everything we do. We design closed, plug & play mushroom grow bags with a prepared substrate and selected genetics by Full Canopy, so that anyone interested in mycology can study the full life cycle of fungi in a clean, controlled and simple way.
MycoBag was co-founded by Rubén Valenzuela Moreno, our CEO, and Santiago Ongay, our CTO.
Rubén leads MycoBag’s strategy and R&D. An agronomist and industrial engineer working in the cannabis and plant-science sector since 2011, he is co-founder and CTO of Valenveras and co-founder, together with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, of the Cannabis Hub.
Santiago leads MycoBag’s technology and genetics. He is co-founder and managing partner of Full Canopy Holdings in Denver, Colorado, the award-winning mycology research group behind our strains, and has spent over a decade developing regulated cannabis and hemp markets in the USA, Latin America and Europe.

He holds degrees in Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering from the UPC.
