How the MycoBag works?

1 The filter maintains ideal oxygen levels and blocks contaminants, so keep your bag sealed until it’s time to harvest.

2 Our exclusive substrate blend is crafted to ensure optimal nutrition and unparalleled yields from your very first flush.

3 Grain, meticulously cleaned and soaked, creates the perfect environment for the mycelium to thrive. The injection port self-heals, preventing contamination.

4 Analyze the quality with our MycoTest.

Grow your mushrooms in 3 simple steps

Paso 1 new

Prepare your MycoBag

Remove the bag from the box, stretch it out, and place it in a location away from direct sunlight at approximately 23°C (73°F). Do not open the bag.

Paso 2 new

First signs of growth

You will notice the first mushrooms, or “pins,” starting to grow.

Harvest time

Open the bag and harvest your mushrooms.

Your mushrooms ready in 25-35 days

What is liquid culture?

Liquid culture contains living mycelium in a nutrient solution, providing an established and consistent starting point for mycology. At MycoBag, we use selected liquid cultures from Full Canopy Genetics to maintain consistency across our varieties.

MycoBag FAQ

An inoculated mushroom grow bag is a prepared bag containing substrate and established mycelium. MycoBag combines a prepared substrate, selected genetics and a microporous filter in a closed system designed to reduce handling and simplify the growing process.

A mushroom grow bag provides the mycelium with a contained environment, substrate and gas exchange through a microporous filter. MycoBag is designed to remain closed during most of the process, reducing unnecessary handling and exposure to external contaminants.

A standard grow bag may contain only sterile substrate and require inoculation by the user. An inoculated grow bag already contains established mycelium, so several preparation steps have already been completed before the product arrives.

It can be easier for beginners because it reduces the number of preparation steps normally associated with mushroom cultivation. MycoBag is designed as a closed, prepared system that minimizes manual handling.

MycoBag is designed to function as a closed system during most of the process. Its microporous filter allows passive gas exchange, so regular opening, misting or manual ventilation is not normally required.

Current MycoBag varieties include Whitebilly, Cascadian Teacher, Tidal Wave Ape, Albino Jedi Mind Fuck (AJMF), Long Whyte Cloudz, Hydra and Mac Galactic. Availability may vary depending on stock and region.

MycoBag uses a closed-bag design, prepared substrate and microporous filtration to reduce unnecessary handling and exposure to the surrounding environment. No cultivation method can completely eliminate contamination risk, but reducing manual interaction can help lower that risk.

Mushroom spawn generally refers to a material already colonized by mycelium and used as a starting point for further growth. A grow bag is the physical cultivation format, which may contain sterile substrate, colonized material or a combination of both depending on the product.
